Description
OVERALL ROLE PURPOSE:
Working within the Group Analytics CoE, you will be part of our Malaysia Analytics function - leveraging huge volumes of structured and unstructured data to solve real business problems across OCBC Malaysia to increase revenues and deliver a great customer experience, improved productivity and reduce risk.
You will be working with business leaders to understand their problem statements & apply Data Science and analytics techniques to develop productionised solutions to capture the opportunity and generate business value.
We believe that variety is good. You’ll get the chance to work on a wide range of use cases across the business covering areas such as Personalisation, Sales & Marketing, Conversational AI, Anti-Money Laundering and Fraud Detection.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work alongside the OCBC Malaysia Bank across Consumer, Corporate and support divisions to identify opportunities to apply data and advanced analytics to support critical business decisions and drive revenue generation.
Deliver business value from data – through use of on-the-ground analytics resources and strong partnership with the centralised Group Analytics CoE team.
Work with key stakeholders to understand their business objectives. Proactive recommendation on how you think data & analytics could help them to achieve their goals.
Campaign management – support the execution of the marketing campaigns via leads extraction, fulfilment and track the effectiveness of the campaign.
Use of advanced analytical modelling techniques to predict and optimize customer and portfolio outcomes.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in analytics, statistics, computer science, mathematics, data science, or related disciplines.
Minimum 2 years of experience in an analytics role (experience in financial institution preferred)
Possess good grounding in data management and analysis functions analytical software tools of leading analytical software tools (such as SAS/SQL/Python); leading database environments (Oracle / Teradata / Hadoop / SQL); reporting tools (Qlikview/Tableau/PowerBI) and/or contact management platforms (Siebel/Pega).
Knowledge of Direct Marketing and Customer Analytics concepts – such as statistical modeling, customer segmentation, event-based marketing, campaign management and campaign effectiveness analysis
Good storytelling and reporting skills using data visualization tools e.g. Power BI, Qlik, Tableau.
Curiosity & a real passion for understanding “why?”.
Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication skill with the ability to articulate complex solutions to non-technical users.
